News & Notes:

  • Homework - Thank you for signing your child's weekly homework packet each week.  Homework is graded done or not done.  Essentially 2 points if completed, 1 point if something is missing and 0 if not turned in.  All incomplete homework will be returned with a note to resubmit when done.
  • DTE Energy Kits - The DTE energy kits include a student booklet.  As part of the homework packet for next week, I will be sending home a "home energy worksheet".
  • Word Study Spelling Tests - Your child is on their third set of word study words.  At this point, if students score less than 70% on a test instead of EEKK reading (partner reading) in Daily 5, I will ask that they use that extra time to continue practicing their word study words.
  • Pokemon Cards - Pokemon cards are currently banned in our class.  We'll try again on Monday Oct. 17th.  If the cards again are a distraction during our "work time", I'll let you know so the kids can keep them home for the rest of the year.
  • Progress Reports - If you have not done so already, please sign and return your child's progress report.
