News and Notes:
- Save the Date - We will conclude our study of Civics with a special presentation. Our class will be participating in a "simulated congressional hearing". The students will be the "experts" on the constitution and answer questions from a panel (Mrs. Metzger, Dr. Hall from our school board, Mr. Hales from Wayne RESA, and a representative from our congressional office.) Hope you can join us on Wednesday, November 16 10:30-11:30.
- Pokemon Cards - I am asking that students not bring Pokemon cards to school. The trading of cards has created a great deal of conflict and hurt feelings. I think it's best to just leave the cards at home and avoid the added stress here at school. Thank you for your help on this.
- Common Good Field Trip - We will be heading to the Fire Station, Police Station and Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 22 to thank those in our community who serve the common good. I have added muffin mixes, eggs and milk to our "wish list". We'll be baking those treats to bring as gifts.
- Report Cards - Can you believe the first quarter is over? Report cards will be distributed on Friday.
- Homework Pass Pizza Party - Invitations will go home tomorrow to students who have no missing assignments and have not used their "homework pass" this quarter. Congratulations to all those kiddos who achieved this goal and worked so hard!
- Coins for a Cause - Room 107 has donated a total of $168.13! Wow! We will continue to collect coins until December 1st. What an amazingly generous class we have!
