Los Dias de los Muertos
Our class has begun studying the Mexican holiday, “Las Dias de los Muertos”. The Mexican holiday is a celebration of family and a time to honor loved ones who have passed away.
In addition to a couple of art related activities honoring the holiday, we will have an “altar” or offering table in our classroom. On this table we will put flowers, fruit, our bread and pictures of people we love who have passed away … as a way of honoring our loved ones.
Your child is welcome to bring in a photo if they would like.
