- Thursday, September 30 - Garden Club for those who signed up. 3:30-4:30pm

What We're Learning:
- Writing - We continue working on writing a paragraph including details and using correct capitalization.
- Reading - We have working on identifying character traits. We will begin a mini-biography in class project on Monday.
- Social Studies - We will begin our first unit on geography next week.
- Science - We are investigating what happened to the wilting tomato plant - to build our understanding of how plants use their structures to promote growth and survival. We have been observing celery in colored water to try and determine how water moves through a plant.
- Math - This week we will continue to focus on place value and rounding.
- Social Emotional Learning - Throughout the day we pause and take a "mindful moment" before beginning work. Ask your child what their favorite "mindful moment" is so far.
Ask Me:
Describe what changes you noticed in your celery. How can this help explain how water moves through a plant?
Tell me about the butterflies in your classroom. How many emerged from their chrysalis' this week? Were they male or female and how did you know?
